Today was my younger daughter's first day of elementary school strings. She carried her cello and her music stand into school this morning.

When I moved to Reno, my mother asked me what it was like. I said it was like Charlottesville with casinos. I keep trying to find the correct way to view this place, but it's like everywhere else-in the eye of the beholder.
